"The Adventures of Antoine Doinel" Updates

I've been watching the movies in François Truffaut's The Adventures of Antoine Doinel series lately. The first film, The 400 Blows (1959), was excellent. It's almost definitely in my top 100 movies of all time. I saw the second movie, Antoine and Colette (1962), on Monday. It was a cute, 30-minute film about Antoine and his first love, and I left my couch with a smile on my face. Last night, I watched Stolen Kisses (1968), the third installment.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by it. The director was almost rambling on about Antoine with no ultimate point. It was even nominated for Best Foreign Language Film — it seems that no one (except my mom) agrees with me. Feel free to comment on what you think about these movies below!

Tonight, I'm going to watch Bed and Board (1970). Hopefully, it's better than the previous film. Also, stay tuned for a list of the movies I watched in January! There were so many good ones that I can't wait to share!
